Things to Know About the 2026 Church Garage Sale

Sale Date - 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Thur/Fri April 23 & 24, 8:00 a.m.- 12 noon, Sat April 25

Start saving items now.

It is extremely helpful if you have items sorted by category. We have lots of hangers (please don’t bring us hangers); you can pick up hangers in advance if you want to have donated blouses, shirts, pants, jackets, etc. on hangers. Due to limited man power, it is helpful if you will take items directly to the area where they will be displayed and set them out, hang them up, etc.

Categories areas will be labeled with signs as

  • Clothes and shoes

  • Linens and housewares including pictures and picture frames, lamps, etc.

  • Dishes (please no plastic jugs that say Cox, Mercy, etc.)

  • Book, CD’s, DVD’s, etc.

  • Sporting equipment, tools, pet supplies, etc.

  • Toys and children’s clothing including dress up outfits and Halloween

  • Holiday decorations

  • Office and craft supplies

  • Small furniture, vacuum cleaners, etc.

  • Collectables- baskets, nick knacks, etc.

  • Jewelry, watches, scarves, etc.

  • Misc.- special items, please identify as they are brought in (If an item is unique, collectible and/or has significant value- please, please, please provide a description or history about the item and mark a suggested price attached to the item.)

We do not have room for large furniture, so please nothing larger than a table chair or something that fits in a trunk or SUV.

Items can be brought to church Sunday, April 19 through Wednesday, April 22. Based on previous sales, we know we need more time to set up items, so the sorting you do in advance really helps. For ease, we may have many items priced at $2 unless otherwise marked.

Only bring items that are clean and in working order. Clothing, dishes, shoes, books, toys, etc.

Health regulations do not allow us to sell mattresses, crib mattresses, or box springs. We are not able to accept non-working Television screens or electronics, as we must pay to dispose of them if they do not sell. We have no market to sell old BBQ grills of any kind, propane, charcoal, etc.

Forms for tax deduction will be available for you to complete upon request.

We do not need any hangers or paper bags, we have enough!

If you have any questions, contact Sarah at 417-882-2471

Rev. Jane Huffstetler has agreed to lead Bible study on Wednesday afternoons at 4:00 p.m. (thus the name). We meet both at the church and by Zoom if that is what works for you. If you want to be included in the weekly reminder that also includes the Zoom link, please send Jane an email. We will begin with Genesis and work our way through the Bible.
