Christmas Eve Worship (Dec 24, 2020)
Merry Christmas! I want to invite you to be part of Christmas Eve Worship with Trinity Presbyterian Church. There are two ways you can take part:
Worship With Your Trinity Family Tonight at 6:00pm
Tonight at 6:00pm our Christmas Eve service will broadcast on our YouTube channel. Tune in to the link above to watch the service along with the rest of the Trinity family. The service will broadcast starting at 6:00pm, with a countdown provided by YouTube beforehand (sorry we can't choose the music for that...). You should also be able to find the service from our channel page on the YouTube app on your phone, tablet, or smart TV. If you are having issues with the service, try reloading the page or following the link again.
Worship On Your Schedule
We know that 6pm might not work for everyone, so you can follow the same link to view the Christmas Eve service on your own schedule any time after the service tonight. Enjoy your own midnight service, or worship Christmas morning!
Other Worship Resources
In addition to our Christmas Eve Worship, I want to share two other resources with you today. First, the Presbyterian Church (USA) has prepared a national Christmas Service. This is a "lessons and carols" style service led by our national staff. View the PCUSA service here.
Second, I find great meaning and strength in the liturgies and prayers from the resource "Every Moment Holy." They have several liturgies for this season I have personally found meaningful, including "A Liturgy for a Meal Eaten Alone" and "A Liturgy for Missing Someone." You can find these, along with several other free downloads, at their resource page here.
Thank you for being part of the Trinity family. I wish deeply that I could greet you in person tonight and look out on the congregation as we sing "Silent Night" to the glow of hundreds of little candles. Yet, I will take strength in the assurance that tonight - as all nights - Christ is Emmanuel, God With Us. As I sing tonight I will take comfort knowing you are singing, too.
Merry Christmas. Christ is come. Thanks be to God.
Pastor Chris
