Extended Worship - December 13, 2020 - Third Sunday of Advent
Today we celebrate the Third Sunday of Advent; the season of preparation for the coming of Christ. During worship this week we have amazing music featuring a brass quintet including our own Tim Wootton, plus the Douglas family lighting the Advent Wreath. If you have Advent candles, have them handy so you can light yours during the service.
Please remember that our December Curbside Donation Drive is tomorrow, December 14, from 10am to 1pm at church. We are collecting non-perishable food items and new, in-package toys for Crosslines. For a specific list of toys that Crosslines needs, please see this week's newsletter.
Also, please mark this Wednesday at 6pm on your calendar. Our annual Service of Healing and Wholeness will be an online service this year, and it will live premiere at 6pm on our YouTube channel. This means we will all be able to take part in the service at the same time. If you aren't able to take part at 6pm, no worries. The service will remain available to watch on your schedule after the premiere.
Thank you for being part of the Trinity family. If there are ways I can be a support to you this week, please reach out.

Music for Social Distancing
Each week our staff will be sharing some music that is bringing them joy. Some may relate to the sermon, others are just music for the times. You can click herefor the full playlist. Here are this week's picks:
This week's songs from Chris:
Over the next few weeks I'll be recommending music of the season - likely at least a whole Christmas album each week.
Christmas Songs by Mel Tormé - If there is one Christmas album that evokes a wave of nostalgia, it is this collection of Christmas classics by Mel Tormé. Each year my dad pulls out this album - which I remember most as the first CD we played when we got home from church on Christmas Eve as we got ready to open presents.
I Saw Three Ships by The Piano Guys - Known for their creative videos and wonderful arrangements of well-known songs, The Piano Guys pull out all the stops as they light up over 500,000 Christmas lights in this fun and beautiful version of the classic carol.
Christmas with The King's Singers - If you're looking for a Christmas album with a more classical sound, give a listen to The King's Singers Christmas, featuring the stunning vocal work of this men's ensemble plus orchestra.
