Music for Social Distancing

Each week our staff will be sharing some music that is bringing them joy.  Some may relate to the sermon, others are just music for the times.  You can click here for the full playlist.  Here are this week's picks:

This week's songs from Chris:

  • Be Kind to Yourself by Andrew Peterson - If there is one takeaway from my sermon today it is that we cannot love others if we refuse to love ourselves. This message is at the core of this beautiful song by Andrew Peterson, and the video features his son and daughter, for whom he wrote the song.

  • Butler Street by David LaMotte - A long-time staple of worship conferences at Montreat, David LaMotte writes about faith with a gentle humor and razor-sharp wit.  Since I met him in my college days this song has been an ever-present favorite of mine about what is important in our faith.

  • O Church of Christ, Invincible by Matt Boswell - If I ever am feeling down about the future, I need only listen to the hope that pours from this song and I am renewed.
