Presbyterian Women Summer Luncheon
All Presbyterian women from Trinity should mark your calendars for Saturday, July 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We will be having our annual summer luncheon at Bambino’s Italian restaurant located at the corner of Lone Pine and Battlefield. This is for all women from Trinity . We have reserved the room off to the side, and there will be a Buffet. The cost is $20. This includes all you can eat buffet with four kinds of pasta, salad, dessert, and beverage. It will also include tax and gratuity. Please pay cash or write a check to Presbyterian Woman for $20 and give to Carol Minton, Gail Tombleson, or Brenda Kane. You payment will secure your reservation. This is always an exciting and fun event and an opportunity to fellowship with other women from our church. Please secure your place before it fills up.
AV Team Update
This past Monday our Trinity A/V team participated in a "Mock Service" at the church. We wanted our team to be able to practice, ask questions and find solutions to challenges we have faced while trying to aid in the worship experience of our congregation. It is safe to say we figured out many things that will, hopefully, keep the sound and visual element of our worship pleasing.
After our time together, we had fellowship and lunch at Bambinos, which was also a lot of fun. I would like to thank Beth and Bob Kick, Ilace Mears, Carol Minton, Nissa Krier and Tim Wootton for taking time to not only volunteer on Sundays but to practice this past Monday so everything sounds and looks good for you! (Chloe was in school but we are happy to have help from any of our Youth!)
If you are interested in being part of our A/V team, please let me (Carla Wootton) know. We truly appreciate those who volunteer and would love to add to our team! Please feel free to give us feedback regarding the audio/visual element of our service. It is due to many of these comments we were able to identify issues and, hopefully, fix them. Update on Jerusalem Marketplace Vacation Bible School
July 5,6,7 - hosted at Westminster Presbyterian for children age 4 through grade 5
Registration forms for VBS students are available now - please reserve a spot for your child or grandchild as soon as possible as we need to order craft supplies and make “Biblical clothing” for the children and volunteer leaders by mid-June.
We are looking for adult and teen volunteers to assist with various activities related to VBS. There are opportunities to make costumes and props on your schedule from home or you can assist with crafts or serving a lunch and snack, which is a single day assignment. Tent parents and assistants, who guide a tent family of 7-8 children to the activities, is a three- day assignment. Adult and teen volunteers working directly with children will need our standard background check.
Based on participation last year, we anticipate there will be 25-30 children from the 3 congregations participating. The majority of VBS will be inside Westminster Church so weather should not be an issue.
Please see Sarah Muegge or Nissa Krier for a registration form or to sign up to help.
Household Items for Refugees
Due to lack of refugee sponsor groups to set up homes for incoming refugee families, the International Institute of Southwest Missouri is collecting household items. During the month of April, they are asking for towel sets. They would be very appreciative for donations from the community. They prefer new or almost new, if possible. They don't have to be expensive. You can leave them in the Sacristy (June’s old office) for the next three weeks. Thank you!
