We enter worship today proclaiming "Hosanna!" while the celebratory palm branches wave, yet we know so well the journey this week will take us to places we would rather not go.  We would rather stay with the celebration of Palm Sunday and then jump right to the triumph of Easter -- we would rather not spend time in the more somber days of Holy Week.

This year I encourage, even challenge, you to allow yourself to take the full journey of Holy Week.  Allow yourself to feel to joyful entry into Jerusalem, for joy is right.  Allow yourself to feel the pain and betrayal of the arrest and trial, for pain is also right.  Allow yourself to mourn on Good Friday, for mourning is also right.  Allow yourself to feel the resurrection hope, for hope is also right.

Wherever you find yourself on the journey this year, thank you for allowing Trinity to be pat of it.  Happy Holy Week.

Holy Week is a highlight of our church year, and we hope you will take part in many of our activities.  Here are some key highlights:

  • Holy Week Book Study & Lunch: Wednesday, April 5
    Noon in the Fellowship Hall

  • Maundy Thursday Dinner & Worship: Thursday, April 6
5:00pm in the Fellowship Hall for Dinner

  • Good Friday Worship: Friday, April 7

  • Easter Sunday Worship: Sunday, April 9
