Trinity Worship - March 7, 2021

Mar 7 2021 Worship Email.png

This week we return to our Lent sermons on the theme of Covenant as we explore how the stories of Abraham and Moses help us understand God's desire for relationship with us. I also want to remind you that our March Curbside Food Drive is tomorrow, Monday, March 8 from 10am to 1pm. We are collecting any non-perishable food items (please check expiration dates and no glass), but with a special request from Crosslines for bread. We typically don't collect bread, but there is a specific need this month, so please consider donating a loaf (or several!).

Please note that today is a Communion service, so if you wish to take part in Communion please make sure to have bread and cup ready when you watch the service.

I also want to encourage you to check out our Lent 2021 resource page. It has information and links to the many ways you can engage with Trinity during this season of preparation and devotion. Find it all here: https://trinityspringfieldpcusa.org/lent

Music for Social Distancing
Each week our staff will be sharing some music that is bringing them joy.  Some may relate to the sermon, others are just music for the times.  You can click herefor the full playlist.  Here are a few recommendations for this week:

  • The God of Abraham Praise by the Choir of Trinity College Cambridge

  • The Lord Bless You and Keep You by John Rutter, performed by a one-man choir (beautiful music, but worth watching for the video, read the description for a sense of the work that went into it!)

  • Hymns for Lent - this is a compilation of about an hour of hymns for Lent performed by a British choir and organ; some are well known to us, others less so.
