Trinity Worship - September 26, 2021

We have a lot of wonderful ways for you to connect with Trinity today!  From a special education time and guest preacher in worship to our all-church picnic, I hope you are able to take part in some or all of the many things our faith community has going on today.  Here are all the details:

Special Sunday School Class: 9:00 AM via Zoom

Plan to join us via Zoom today at 9am for a special class: So Much Left to Do: The Journey of Affirming LGBTQIA+ People in the Church. The Rev. Brian Ellison will help us explore where we have been, and where we are going, on the journey of becoming a more just and inclusive community. This class will be offered via Zoom; to take part, please tap on the link in the Sunday morning email (we don’t share Zoom links on the website for security). Sunday Worship: 11:30am in-person or via livestream broadcast

There are two key ways to participate in worship today: Livestream Broadcast or In-Person Worship. We want you to participate in the way that is best for you.

• If you are participating in worship via Live Broadcast: simply tap the link below to open the YouTube livestream at 11:30am. You can use the same link to watch worship later if you wish.

• If you are participating in worship by joining us in-person at Trinity:please note the following procedures and adjustments to help make worship a safer environment for everyone:

  • Please do not arrive at Trinity before 11:15am; this will allow time for Brentwood members to exit the building.

  • Please use the West / Trinity doors if possible; this will minimize congestion near the Sanctuary. If you need to use the East / Sanctuary doors due to mobility issues please feel free to do so.

  • Please wear a mask while in the building and be mindful of physical distance.

  • We will not pass an offering plate during worship. There will be a no-contact option to drop donations before and after the service; we also offer secure, online giving options at https://trinityspringfieldpcusa.org/give

  • Hymnals, Psalters, and Bibles have been removed from the pews. We will have a bulletin, but our primary way of sharing in responsive reading will be via our screens. You are welcome to bring your personal Bible to read scripture during worship if you wish.

  • We welcome singing during worship, with the reminder that masking is required and we ask everyone to sing no louder than conversational volume.
    

All-Church Picnic

Join your Trinity family for our Fall Church Picnic! We will gather at the Northwoods Pavilion at Lake Springfield right after worship, or about 1pm.  This is NOT a potluck event; Trinity will provide chicken and you are asked to provide any other sides, desserts, or beverages you want for your household.  Please bring your own plates, utensils, napkins, etc.
