From Pastor Chris
For several years now, Trinity has been a proud sponsor of Springfield Black Tie. Over the last 18 years, Springfield Black Tie has raised over $1 million to provide grants to local agencies that serve the LGBTQ+ community (including Rare Breed Youth Outreach, the Men's Chorus of the Ozarks, and many more), and we are delighted to be one of the church sponsors again this year.
Unfortunately, the ongoing pandemic means the in-person event has moved online this year. There is a bright side to this: you can take part in the Springfield Black Tie live-stream event! There will be an online "banquet at home" this Saturday, November 14 starting at 6:00 p.m. You can tune in and show your support. You can also take part in their annual silent auction, which is going on right now through the event on Saturday. 100% of all donations go directly to provide grants to local agencies.
If you're interested, find all the details about how to participate right here: http://springfieldblacktie.org/the-event/
I hope you'll be able to join me virtually at Black Tie this year as we witness to God's expansive love for all people. If there are ways I can be a support to you this week, please don't hesitate to give me a call.
Peace,
Pastor Chris

Congregational Book Study - No Innocent Bystanders
We are in the third week of our congregation wide study on the powerful book No Innocent Bystanders. Our online gathering to discuss the book will take place tonight Thursday, November 12 at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom.
We still have copies of the book available, so if you haven't picked up your complimentary copy yet please reach out to either the office or Pastor Chris and we will be glad to make arrangements to get you your copy. We hope to see a lot of people on the Zoom call this evening as we discuss this powerful book!
From the Generosity and Engagement Committee
This week we begin our 2021 Stewardship Campaign. Our theme is "Faith for today, Hope for tomorrow." We are all too aware of the challenges we have faced in 2020. Our faith has carried us through these difficult times and faith, along with hope, will do the same for us in 2021. You will soon be receiving a letter and pledge card in the mail. It will contain information about both the sources of our funds and the many missions those funds have allowed us to accomplish. Please pledge generously as you are able.
